Survivor Story is a survivor-led organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of survivors in Nebraska and creating safety for survivors and their children in family court. Founded by survivors with lived experience and professional expertise, we combine personal understanding with evidence-based solutions to provide comprehensive support. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every survivor deserves to be heard, believed, and protected throughout their journey.

Led by co-founders Marcy Thiessen and Andrea Aleksandrova, both certified victim advocates, Survivor Story offers specialized services including victim advocacy, family court advocacy, training, consultation, and faith community education. We work collaboratively with communities to address intimate partner violence, financial abuse, child sexual abuse, and post-separation abuse through trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches that prioritize safety and healing.
